7 Most Satisfying Ways to Spend Your Tax Return.

7 most satisfying ways to spend your tax refund.

It is tax season and you might be one of the lucky ones who are getting a return back. Let me ask you have you made a plan for it yet? Get a piece of paper and write the amount you are getting back and then think about what you want to spend it on. Down below are some things you could spend your money on that will leave you satisfied.

  •  Use your tax refund to fund your emergency fund. Everyone should have at least have $1,000 in a starter emergency fund then work your way up to 3 to 6 months of expenses. That way you won’t go into debt to pay for an emergency.
  • If you are a Christian like me you will need to tithe at least 10 percent of your return to your church, or maybe you can do even more if want to if you don’t have a ton of debts that need paid off.
  • Start a giving fund. This one has been on our hearts lately is to start a fund that we put a certain amount of money in each month and then that money can be used to spontaneously give or help someone as the lord leads.
  • Pay over due bills or to pay off bills that are due yearly not monthly.
  • Pay off Debt! Always pay off your lowest amount debts first. Your tax return is a good one to use to pay those off.
  • Fund sinking funds. Sinking funds are saving funds that are designated for a certain purpose or for future purchases like maybe you might have a house sinking fund or a new tire sinking fund, or a laptop sinking fund or whatever expense or wants you might want to save up for in the future, your tax refund is a great way to fund some of those.
  • Take some of the money and have a blast! Okay some people are super intense about getting debt paid off that they don’t take the time to have fun. You have to get away and have fun or I promise you will get burnt out. Take like 5 to 10 percent of your return and go have fun with it however you see fit. I promise you can’t afford not to.

So get your paper and pin out and figure out how much in what category’s your return is going to. You have to have plan for your money or months later it will all be gone and you won’t be able to reminder where it all went.
